This unique foam mattress has a top layer of die-cut high-density foam in the head and torso section to distribute pressure. At the foot of the mattress it tapers down as a means to take pressure off of the heels and prevent sores from developing over time. The heel section is multi-layered with independent cell technology that also aids in the prevention of skin irritation and pressure sore development.
This Drive Medical foam mattress is enveloped in a two-layer cover. The top cover is a two-way stretch fabric that will reduce heat build-up and provide a low shear surface that is anti-microbial and water-resistant. The bottom layer is completely vinyl. It will be fully waterproof on the bottom and will prevent staining. The cover zipper is concealed and has a flap that goes over the opening to prevent liquids from getting inside the mattress core.h assist in stability and transfer out of bed.
